Rats have been a big problem for eons. They are well known for spreading bubonic plague, due to the fleas they carry. One third of Europe was killed from this in the fourteenth century.
These days they are more well known for contaminating food because of their urine and droppings.
Some of the first signs of a rat problem may be fairly large burrows in the ground around the exterior of the home or business structure. Droppings may be found in the basement or garage where trash may be kept or in commercial kitchens or food storage areas.

Our treatment program for mice is executed in two parts:
Mice may be cute to look at, but only when they’re outside where they belong. 1. First we will inspect the structure for areas where mice are traveling and locate areas where they may be gaining entry. We will then install traps in areas inaccessible to children and pets. We will return in a few days to remove all of these traps and any mice caught. This reduces the population quickly and since these mice are removed, lessens the chance of one dying in the wall somewhere. 2. Upon our second visit, we will remove the traps and any mice caught, and install tamper resistant bait stations in areas inaccessible to children and pets. This will control any remaining mice. We will make recommendations for repairs you can make to help keep them out or, if you prefer, we can do minor exclusion work for an additional fee.* Doors, windows or bulkheads left open, even for a short time and cellar windows that are not screened are examples of issues that we would recommend be addressed to prevent future entry.All of this, trapping, removal and baiting is included in the price you will be quoted over the phone. The service is also under warranty for 6 months. If, after two weeks, you experience any further problems with mice, we will return at no additional charge to take care of the problem. We also offer regular, exterior baiting programs for structures that have chronic problems. This program is more expensive and is only suggested if needed. Like their larger cousin, the Norway rat, they are capable of spreading serious diseases such as Murine Typhus, Ricketts, Trichinosis, Hantavirus, Bubonic Plague and Salmonella.
